Is rimmel a bad makeup brand?

I use No7 foundation and I use rimmel sun shimmer bronzer over it and somehow i seem to be breaking out in spots. The No7 says its a hypoallergenic product so im thinking it's the rimmel and according to my mum ..rimmel use to be the cheapest makeup brand out.Is rimmel a bad makeup brand?

You could be allergic to either - even if its hypoallergenic you can still be allergic to it
It is great, yes cheap but maybe your skin needs hypoallergenic makeup. My cheeks seem fine, I use Rimmel. Check your make up brush, my mum found hers irritated her skin, and since swapping it was perfect again!
rimmel definitely isn't one of the best brands...a lot of people do experience breakouts from such a brand. i wouldn't use a foundation or powder from a cheaper brand...but they do have great polishes, shadows, and mascaras.

rimmel sucks! i used their eyeshadow and it made my eyes swell up! i would avoid cheap brands like that
If you do not want to breakout from wearing make up. You need to look at foundation that says noncomedogenic makeup. Dermatologists recommend using this brand because it's oil free and it's make so that it does not cause breakouts. Rimmel is an okay brand, but the only really good thing from their line is some of their eye shadow. So try switching to another makeup line instead.
rimel isnt the best brand ever! its not the cheepest, but in my experence, it is a good brand, at an affordable price, there is more than make-up that can cause break outs! food can (the digestion zone), mosituriser or just cos ur going to get them anyway/time of the munth! or whatever! or you could be allergic to either product!
Perhaps your brush is dirty?





To be honest, it's more likely that your No7 is breaking you out. Even oil free foundations can. Stick with minerals and powders.

just beacause its the cheapsest doesnt mean tis crap! and it definately doesnt mean taht coz no7 is pricey its gr8. They just write on teh packet that its hypoallergenic so that ppl will buy it. And rimmel so isnt the cheapest brand, its kinda pricey to me, esp. as im a student. Remember just coz they write summink on teh packet doenst mean its true!
sometimes it could mean that you are allergic to something in one of them - so it doesnt have to be only the rimmel one. plus, it could be your skin telling you to use a lighter version of foundation because your pores are getting clogged. i've never heard anything bad about rimmel - i dont personally think its bad. but you just have to remember that not everyone makeup brand/product is for everyone.
I use rimmel mascaras and i find that they are good. Try using miss sporty bronzer its actually really good :)
